All About Mrs. Kahler (Ms. Michael)
I grew up in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania and earned my teaching degree from Lock Haven University in 1997. I moved to North Carolina twenty-eight years ago to begin my career as an educator. I taught in Lumberton, N.C. and Fayetteville, N.C. respectively for eight years. While teaching in Fayetteville, N.C., I earned my National Board Certification for Middle Childhood in 2002. I taught second, third, and fourth grades while residing in North Carolina. Eighteen years ago, my family moved back to Pennsylvania, and I taught first and second grades in Collegeville, P.A. In 2007, I accepted a fifth grade position at Penns Valley Intermediate. I’m excited to be teaching third grade again this year. It'll be my eleventh year at Centre Hall-Potter Elementary. I enjoy going on day hikes in the mountains around us with my husband, or escaping to any coastal beach to soak in the sun and salty air with my son and extended family. I continue to feel blessed to be back in central Pennsylvania.
